Transitions & New Beginnings

Hi yogis, we’re so glad you’re here! This has been one crazy month, right? It’s been full of a lot of unexpected twists and turns as well as ups and downs. (we are wondering why this roller coaster didn’t have an automated seat belt – or a warning label that states must be grounded in yoga to ride! Ha!) Peggy and I are so very grateful for your continued support of our studio during this time, we know many of you are experiencing so many changes right now and we hope that your practice is helping you move through this time. We wanted to take just a moment and tell you a little about ourselves (we’re sisters) and where our hearts are for the studio.

Peggy fell in love with yoga at her very first practice at the loft in 2013 and has been hooked ever since. After just a few months of practice she had a deep desire to share the magic she had found with others. She completed her 235 hour training and began teaching at the loft in 2015. She went on to complete her 300hr training in 2016 and is ryt certified. Her love for yoga is pure and genuine and spread across all different types of yoga from Hatha to Buti. (If you haven’t tried her Buti class yet, you should!!)

Peggy introduced me to yoga in 2014 and I fell in love with it immediately and never looked back. I had a couple of years where I stepped away from my physical practice as I was needed at home but always held yoga dear to my heart and have recently returned to my asana practice and loved the excitement of a new beginning. I plan to take my teacher training early next year and begin teaching at the studio. All those years ago Peggy and I talked about the someday dream of having a yoga studio of our own, so this year when the opportunity came, we knew it was the right moment at the right time.

We could not ask for better teachers or students, you all are the embodiment of yoga and the true teachers. Our hope and dream for the studio is that it feels like home, full of warmth, strength, movement, connection, love, and light. We will continue to share and spread the love of yoga. Peggy and I are so very passionate about community and each month we will be looking for and taking opportunities to bless someone else and pay our blessings forward. We embrace opportunities to spread love and light in our little corner of the world.

We plan to continue to live stream at the studio for as long as we are able and the stay in place order is in effect. We are working towards being able to offer recordings of our yoga flows and will let you know when we are able to make that available. Some of our goals for the studio this year are to offer workshops and organize and offer group events as we feel energized and connected through our practice. We will have to take this one step at a time and are committed to the safety and well being of all those around us while doing our part to flatten the curve with Covid-19.

Thank you all so much for being here. Before we go, we wanted to share our mission statement with you,

“Here at Yogaloft Conover we believe in authenticity, in sharing and spreading the love and light of yoga both on and off our mats. We believe there is power in connection and community. We believe the power of movement with breath through our practice aligns both the spiritual and physical connection of body, mind, and soul.”

Much love & Namaste,

Megan & Peggy
